If we have to compare him with one of our heroes, Ajith is like Pawan Kalyan of Tamilnadu. He has fans in all the sections and especially he has diehard fans among youngsters. However, like Pawan Kalyan who couldn't expand his market into other states, even Ajith failed to conquer Andhra Pradesh like other big stars of Tamilnadu.
Except for Prema Lekha none of his films did well here. Even Vaali was just average. Few of his Tamil blockbusters ended up as super flops in Telugu including the recently released Gambler (Mankatha). Now, Ajith is coming back as David Billa and is hoping for a respectable reception from our audience. Billa 2 is releasing in record centers in Tamilnadu and is making huge buzz there. But there is absolutely no sound from David Billa amidst the resounding buzz that is being made by Eega. Can the super star of other state get a decent opening in AP? Come Friday and we get to see!
